Authentic Living - Episode 18

If you have a genuine interest in authentic living, how can you prove it?

How do you ascertain value?

Do you usually associate authenticity with an absolute devotion to reality or an absolute devotion to truth and/or goodness and/or something intangible?

Perhaps you prefer to think about such matters outdoors:

How do you usually think about preferences in relation to authentic living?

How do you usually think about social status in relation to authentic living?

How do you usually think about personality in relation to authentic living?

How do you usually think about politics in relation to authentic living?

Egotists tend to behave as sycophants towards individuals they perceive to be of higher social status than themselves.

They attempt to legitimise arrogance and cruelty towards individuals and groups they consider to be of lower social status than themselves, thereby perpetuating unjust social hierarchies.

How do you know you have a reasonable view about progress?

How can you prove you are being honest with yourself when answering these questions?

How do you know you are investing in honesty appropriately?

Are you involved in some sort of social movement for well-informed and kind people who happen to be oppressed and possibly also quite depressed?

Do you consider yourself to be an oppressed person?

If so, why?

Perhaps you do not usually associate cottages with such questions.

Do you associate intelligent frugality with a comfortable life or an uncomfortable one: physically, financially, socially and/or emotionally?

Ordinary members of the public tend to abandon the activity almost as soon as they start it, if they start it at all.

What have you already discovered about the cottage and creativity?

How do you usually think about community experiences in relation to authentic living?

Do you frequently ignore the prevalence of inadequate financial literacy?

Are you adequately acquainted with consumer economics?

How do you know you express interpersonal respect appropriately when attempting to live authentically?

What have you been learning about the cottage and kindness?

How advanced is your education, and how do you know?

Kindness does not reflect intelligence.

Only well-informed kindness reflects intelligence.

What does your intelligent frugality reflect?
